Michael l. Bobo, DDS, MD, FACS

Dr. Michael Bobo and his team have earned the distinction of becoming an Oral & Maxillofacial Center of Excellence. Centers of Excellence are specialized programs within healthcare institutions that consistently demonstrate exceptionally high levels of expertise and resources, including leadership, best practices, research, and training.

As part of earning the OMS Center of Excellence distinction, Oral & MaxilloFacial Surgery also received certification from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)—the recognized leader in ambulatory health care accreditation. The AAAHC advocates for high-quality health care and patient safety by engaging a wide range of experts to develop, review, and revise standards, assess organizations based on those standards and their internal policies and procedures, and provide tools that support continuous quality improvement.

Since 1979, the AAAHC has accredited more than 6,700 organizations. Fewer than 50 oral surgery offices in the United States have achieved the office-based surgery center accreditation level. This accreditation involves a rigorous evaluation process, including an on-site survey by healthcare professionals, and demonstrates full compliance with AAAHC standards. It assures patients that the facility meets the highest quality and safety standards available in outpatient surgery, and promotes continuous improvement and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Earning these two certifications and marks of distinction reflects the exceptional quality of care and service provided to patients at Oral & MaxilloFacial Surgery.
