Facial Rejuvenation: Fillers/Implants

As we age, the skin loses structure and volume. We can now correct many of the resulting lines and wrinkles by adding volume under the skin. This is done using injectable gel fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane. There products are made from a natural sugar found in all living cells called hyaluronic acid. These fillers are gently injected under the skin, in such areas as the nasolabial folds and lips, to achieve a smoother/ younger appearance.

In addition to filling gels, facial implants can be placed into the chin and cheek areas to provide a more youthful appearance and to augment areas that are deficient in volume.
