Financial Policy
In order to reduce confusion and misunderstanding between
our patients and the practice, we have adopted the following financial
policies. If you have questions about the policies, please discuss them
with our front office staff. We are dedicated to providing the best
possible care and service to you and regard the understanding of your
financial responsibilities as an essential element of your treatment.
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash,
check, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover. If you have dental and/or medical
insurance, we will file the claim for you. Keep in mind that your
insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company.
We are happy to file your insurance for you, regardless of the company.
Our staff will attempt to contact your insurance company
to obtain your deductible and the benefits you have available. Based on
this information, we will estimate the amount you will owe, above what
insurance will pay. This amount will be due the day of service.
Insurance carriers do not guarantee estimated benefits.
Therefore, we never know exactly what the insurance will pay until after
the surgery and after they receive the claim. For this reason, you will
receive a bill from our office for the remaining balance not covered by
insurance. Likewise, if the insurance company pays more than the
estimated amount, we will send you a refund.
Payment Plan
Our office does offer a payment plan administered by a
third party (Care Credit). An application may be obtained in the
office. Approval notification can usually be obtained the same day.
Medicare
Drs. Bobo and Pleger are Medicare providers. However,
Medicare does not cover dental-related procedures, including extraction
of teeth and preparation for dentures. Coverage may be provided for such
procedures as biopsies and trauma.
